The operating principle of this bird repeller is the periodic generation of sharp sounds (claps) simulating thunder and frightening birds. The imitation of thunder occurs automatically as a result of the explosion of a gas mixture (propane, butane). The volume of the shot is adjustable from 70 to 150 dB, while the gun operates without recoil. The area of action is up to 5 hectares.

A popular imported bird repeller uses the principle of periodic production of artificial explosions due to gas combustion in a pipe.

Ultrasonic repellers are placed mainly in populated areas due to the limited protected area - up to 100 m2.

Bioacoustic bird repellers require power sources and the power is not always sufficient.

In contrast, a gas bird repeller uses a sound channel to influence pests, which expands the area protected from birds by tens of times:

The bird repeller is advantageous in that after installation and orientation in the place where flying pests are noticed, it does not need a power source, since it receives energy from compressed gas and does not require observation and maintenance.

Ignition is carried out using a piezoelectric element with a given frequency - from 40 seconds to 20 minutes. The time period is adjusted by adjusting the gas pressure valve.

Another important setting is the volume of the explosions by moving the pipe back and forth.

At maximum explosion volume, the sound pressure reaches 150 dB, which makes flying or landing birds instantly soar upward and move to a safer place.

The thunder cannon is powered by a 12-liter gas cylinder, which is refueled at a regular gas station. One refill, depending on the set frequency of flashes, is enough for an average of 2 months.

Since the Guardian-2 propane bird repeller is constantly placed outdoors, the issue of protection against corrosion is important, and the galvanized body contributes to this, due to which the gas bird repeller will last at least 10 years.
