Electric fence (electric shepherd) is a lightweight wire fence to which high-voltage impulses are supplied from a special generator. The wire rests on insulators attached to metal, plastic, wooden posts. The fence is designed to protect pens and pastures of domestic farm animals and poultry, crops from damage caused by livestock and animals, and to prevent livestock from getting onto highways and into ravines.
The operating principle of an electric fence is a short-term shock from high voltage electric current when an animal comes into direct contact with an uninsulated wire of the fence.
Components for building an electric fence:
* ELECTRICIANS (Pulse generator)
* Tape, String or Wire
* INSULATORS
