Fiberglass post for electric shepherd 10 mm/100 cm
Characteristics
Height 100 cm. Useful height 80 cm.
Thickness 10 mm. This is enough to hang the cord above the ground.
Weight 100 grams. To fence 1.25 hectares, you need about 50 pieces, which is only 7 kg.
What does a composite post consist of?
The physical body of the post consists of several parts:
1. Main trunk. It is made of fiberglass, which are connected with polymer resin. The main trunk provides the strength of the post.
2. The outer layer is a winding thread. It is wound in a spiral around the trunk of the post.
Main properties
A lot of research and testing was carried out to determine the properties of the composite post. The results obtained characterized the composite post as a highly durable and long-lasting product for building an electric fence, which has a number of advantages over other materials.
Advantages
Low weight. Convenient to carry to the pasture (the composite pole is 5 times lighter than the metal one)
Resistance to corrosion in acidic and aggressive chlorine environments (10 times superior to the properties of a steel pole);
Economical (more profitable to transport, long service life);
The composite pole is a dielectric. The wire can be wound directly onto the pole.
Very difficult to break, you have to try hard.
Low cost, compared to metal and plastic poles.
Excessive flexibility does not interfere with the main task - to hang the braided cord above the ground. If desired, you can use corner stretchers (the principle is the same as when setting up a tourist tent). Let me remind you that the task of an electric fencer is to restrain an animal not by force (netting or wooden poles), but by means of electric current.
Today, fiberglass rods for electric fencers are the best solution.
