KBS-M1T Mechanical Propane Bird and Animal Repeller with Timer

Effective crop protection with the KBS-M1T propane cannon

The KBS-M1T propane bird and animal repeller is a professional solution for large open areas where damage caused by bird pests and wild animals needs to be minimised. The device mimics a loud gunshot, creating a zone of discomfort for pests and forcing them to leave the area. Thanks to its built-in timer, the cannon allows you to optimise fuel consumption and maintain peace and quiet at night.

Purpose and operating principle

The device runs on liquefied gas (propane or butane). The gas is fed into a detonation chamber, where it is ignited by a piezoelectric element. A sound pulse measuring 120–150 dB travels over 1,000 metres, providing reliable protection for areas ranging from 3 to 7 hectares. A mechanical control allows the interval between pulses to be set from 20 seconds to 20 minutes. This makes the device a versatile tool for controlling crows, rooks, jackdaws, magpies, pigeons, starlings, thrushes, seagulls, cormorants and other species of birds that cause damage to agricultural land.

Advantages of using a timer

The KBS-M1T model is fitted with a timer that automatically controls the gas supply. This offers the user two key benefits: significant fuel savings by operating only during the required hours, and maintaining quiet at night when birds are inactive, which is important for peace and quiet in neighbouring residential areas. The timer operates by automatically shutting off and then resuming the gas supply, allowing the device to be programmed in line with the birds’ biological rhythms.

Key operational features

To achieve maximum efficiency, the manufacturer recommends using propane as the primary fuel. A single 12-litre cylinder is sufficient for approximately 10,000 shots. The device is ideal for protecting gardens, fields, warehouses, airfields and fish farms. Its mechanical design is highly reliable and easy to maintain. To increase the coverage area, the device can be fitted with a tripod, which allows the cannon to rotate after each shot, covering a wider sector and preventing birds from becoming accustomed to the sound.

Recommendations for selection and placement

When selecting a location for installing the cannon, one should take into account wind direction and the topography of the area. As the sound travels over long distances, it is important to point the barrel away from residential buildings if they are nearby. Regular checks of the gas connections and the cleanliness of the detonation chamber will ensure the equipment’s long-term operation. Using a timer not only saves gas but also extends the service life of the device’s mechanical components, as the cannon does not operate continuously around the clock.

Why choose the KBS-M1T mechanical cannon

• Autonomy: The device does not require connection to the mains, as it runs exclusively on gas.
• High power: A sound level of up to 150 dB is critical for most bird species, ensuring they flee quickly.
• Flexible settings: The ability to adjust the firing interval allows you to tailor the operation to a specific type of pest.
• Cost-effectiveness: Thanks to the timer, you only pay for the time when protection is actually needed.
• Build quality: Kurtbomsan products are renowned for their durability under conditions of intensive outdoor use.

Please note that to ensure uninterrupted operation, the gas cylinder must be replaced or refilled in good time. Although the device is mechanical and fairly low-maintenance, periodically checking the fixings and cleaning away dust or plant debris will help maintain the stable operation of the ignition mechanism. Using the KBS-M1T propane blower is an investment in protecting your crop and ensuring peace of mind on your property throughout the season.
